A collaboration project with the Human Brain Project consortium focuses on 3D reconstruction, visualization and analysis of brain parenchyma using automated serial section electron microscopy techniques, with the aim of studying in detail the spatial constraints distribution of the energy sources in neurites and astrocytic processes, such as mitochondria and glycogen granules.
The laboratory is interested in imaging microscopic techniques that allow the visualization of dynamic cellular processes, including those involved in plasticity.
